Welcome to Toro Energy Limited
A uranium focussed project project developer and explorer
Toro Energy is an Australian uranium company with an attractive project development and exploration portfolio.
Toro’s flagship and wholly-owned Wiluna Uranium Project which has a regional resource base of 54 million lbs, is situated 30 kilometres south of Wiluna in Central Western Australia. The project is the most advanced of the new generation of uranium mines in Australia with Western Australian and Australian Federal Government approvals well advanced, with final approvals anticipated in mid-2012. Based on this timetable, it is anticipated the project will produce 1.8 million lbs of U3O8 per year with first uranium sales in early 2014. Project life is expected to be in excess of 14 years.
Wiluna consists of a series of shallow calcrete deposits, with the largest of these deposits, Lake Way and Centipede, being subject to approvals and a definitive feasibility study which is due to be released in late 2012. The project assessment to date includes the successful completion of a pilot processing plant and trail mining.
The Theseus Uranium Project in Western Australia (100% Toro) is a significant greenfield discovery made in 2009. Toro has identified an exploration target range of 22 to 44 million lbs U3O8 at 400 to 500 ppm. Early studies indicate that the sandstone hosted deposit is amenable to In Situ Recovery (“ISR”) extraction methods. There remains significant “blue sky” with the mineralisation open to the South, East and West and other positive regional drill results yet to be followed up.
Toro is also a significant explorer in Western Australia, the Northern Territory, and in Namibia, Africa.
The Board and Senior Management of Toro have extensive experience in major mining houses, successful exploration companies, large uranium mining operations, uranium marketing and government and community relations.
